We are excited to announce that registration for all children of the Milton Area School District entering kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school term is scheduled for the following days in February:

Wednesday, February 25, 2026 Thursday, February 26, 2026 Friday, February 27, 2026
Hours for registration are from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and are by appointment only. Parents should note that children will be administered a short screening test and must be present for registration. Appointments to register are made by calling the Baugher Elementary Office at (570)742-7614, option 5.
The entrance age for kindergarten children is age five (5) prior to September 1, 2026. Prior to registration, parents/guardians must complete the online registration form, which can be found on the main page of the District’s website at www.miltonsd.org. Completion of the online registration information and submission of one of the following: birth certificate, baptismal certificate showing date of birth, a notarized statement indicating birth date, or any duly certified transcript of birth is required. A record of immunizations is also required by state law. This means that proof of the following: four (4) diphtheria and tetanus, with one after the 4th birthday, four (4) polio, two (2) measles, mumps and rubella, three (3) Hepatitis B, and two (2) varicella (chicken pox), must also be presented at registration. If you have a copy of your child’s last physical and dental form please bring a copy of that with you also.
Please be sure to upload all documents in the online registration prior to submitting the registration. All documents must be uploaded prior to the screening.
In summary, the following documents are required for kindergarten registration and MUST be uploaded before you submit your online registration:
• Birth certificate of student
• Immunization records
• Proof of residence in Milton Area School District (2 are needed)
• Custody agreements/court orders (if applicable)
Parents will receive a letter in August that includes information about their child’s teacher and room assignment. Students will be able to meet their teacher during Open House, which will be held prior to the first day of school.
