K-5 Health & PE Curriculum
Health – Our Too Good for Drugs health curriculum is an evidence-based program that introduces and reviews a series of skills to prepare children to make healthy choices and resist unhealthy behaviors in life, including bullying, fighting, and other aggressive behaviors. Effective prevention education depends on the school, the family, and the community to reinforce the skills and concepts taught in the program with hopes that every student will choose a safe, healthy, and drug-free life.
Physical Education – Standards-based Elementary School Physical Education provides students with experiences in a wide variety of activities with an emphasis placed on physical activity and personal fitness. Elementary Physical Education strives to improve motor development, cognitive development and affective development through participation in instructional activities including foundational skills, throwing and catching, jumping, kicking and trapping, dribbling and striking, games, parachute and dance.
