Humidity Levels Under Control

Humidity levels under control
Milton, PA – August 30th, 2018
“Considering the incredibly hot and humid weather we’ve been faced with, we’re thrilled to say, the humidity levels in all of our schools are under control.” Milton Area Schools Superintendent, Dr. Cathy Keegan says SERVPRO crews are now in the final stretch, preparing all five schools for next week’s first day of classes.
District Officials learned that the classrooms in the district’s three elementary schools, Baugher Elementary, Montandon Elementary and White Deer Elementary have been cleaned and are awaiting positive mold spore tests to release the schools for occupancy. SERVPRO cleaning experts updated district officials Thursday afternoon that the multi-purpose room at White Deer Elementary will continue to be cleaned and will not be open for the first day of classes next week. “The multipurpose room will be isolated while crews complete clean-up of that space.” SERVPRO Managers relayed to the district.
SERVPRO crews continue diligently in the Middle and High School and believe they’ll be able keep the forecast and allow teachers back into classrooms on Tuesday, September 4th with students returning to classes two days later, September 6th.
Given next week’s opening of schools, remediation and laboratory crews will continue to work throughout the holiday weekend, ensuring that the schools will be safe for all students, teachers and staff.
The Milton Area School District anticipates notifying parents, teachers and staff as soon as updates are available, including during the holiday weekend. For additional information, please contact Superintendent Dr. Cathy Keegan at 570-742-7614.
