All hands on deck as school start nears
Milton, PA – August 27th, 2018
Engineers, Architects, HVAC experts, Laboratory and research experts and teams from SERVPRO gathered with Milton Area School District Leaders Monday afternoon for an update to address the ongoing remediation of humidity issues.
After the meeting, Superintendent Dr. Cathy Keegan stated, “With temperatures reaching into the high 80’s and low 90’s this week, the remediation teams at SERVPRO remain steadfast in their work to make sure we get our schools clean and mold free, in time for the start of the school year.”
“We’re in the home stretch.” SERVPRO Rob Goslee Manager, said dozens of crews from all over Pennsylvania and New Jersey are in Milton’s schools, working 14+ hour days.” SERVPRO crews from five different company franchises are involved in clean ups in the Milton Area School District, along with many other school districts in Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania.
Clean up crews believe they’ll be able keep the forecast and allow teachers back into classrooms on Tuesday, September 4th with students returning to classes two days later, September 6th.
Superintendent Keegan felt strongly about getting students and parents back into schools for open houses. “We’re looking forward to our open houses next week. Students will get to meet their teachers, see their classrooms. It’s an important and exciting time of the school year. We hope it will provide some peace of mind to parents, seeing the incredible clean-up efforts by SERVPRO.” Open House dates will be released as soon as lab experts from Mountain Research clear the rooms for occupancy.
Representatives from Mountain Research, SERVPRO and NRG Controls North will be at the Open Houses, to help answer any questions parents, teachers and staff may have.
The Milton Area School District anticipates notifying parents, teachers and staff as soon as updates are available. For additional information, please contact Superintendent Dr. Cathy Keegan at 570-742-7614.
